Memory Book
The Memory Book is a free publication created by the OHS Band Boosters. It is targeted for distribution near the end of the current band season. We encourage parents to present these books to their sponsors and to contributing businesses so they can be displayed at their sites. The Memory Books are also an opportunity for parents to recognize their seniors with special dedications. The order form below is for those parents and also for any business that wishes to advertise in this year's Memory Book. If you sell an ad your student's account will also be credited 90%, so the Memory Book can be used as a fundraiser. There is no charge if you wish to submit general band photos to be used in the Memory Book although inclusion is not guaranteed. All media will be returned to their owners. All submissions are due at the Band Boosters Meeting in March 2008.

Great Lake Scrip
The easiest way to order is to use code 3CC33A8C7432 to shop online at ShopWithScrip.com There is also an online order form. Orders are placed on the first and third Monday of each month. Contact if you have any questions or to place an order.
What is a Scrip?
A scrip is like a gift card. "Scrip," simply means "substitute money". For example, if you buy a $50 scrip for Home Depot it means you can purchase $50 worth of goods at Home Depot! The scrip owner gets, penny-for-penny, every cent in value that they've purchased. And the boosters raises funds in the process - it's like magic! How is this magic possible? The cards and certificates are sold and redeemed at full face value, but the boosters are getting them at a discount. The discount is applied 100% to the band student's individual account.
Scrip comes in the form of gift cards or certificates. Through the boosters you can purchase scrip for over 500 name-brand businesses such as Home Depot, Nordstrom, Gap, Old Navy, American Eagle, Longhorn Steakhouse, Chili's, etc. You're using scrip for purchases you'd be making anyways. For a list of retailers, please visit the Great Lakes Scrip Center's website. Their site also lists the denominations and details for each business.

Lookouts
Chattanooga Lookouts
Contact if you are interested in working. Assignments are made on a "first come, first serve basis." Please, do not report unassigned: your hours will not get credited! About 8 to 10 workers are needed on weeknights, and 12 to 16 for weekend games. The Moores need to know the number of family members and the dates you wish to work. Band members ages 13 and older are able to work but they must be accompanied by an adult. Younger children are not allowed in the concession stand area. You will need to be at the ball field one hour before the game (e.g., by 6:15 PM for a 7:15 game) and ask for Ralph or Terri Moore when you report. The hourly rate is $5.40 per worker and you will work approximately 3 hours (depending on business volume you may work fewer hours for Spring games and sometimes as many as 5 hours for Summer games). You will not be required to handle money since you will be assisting the stadium's employees, but they may ask an adult to run the register if they are short-handed.
For safety reason no opened-toe shoes (e.g., sandals or flip-flops) are allowed. Also, please do no wear tank tops. The Health Department has special requirements regarding the consumption of food in certain areas. Workers may have a soft drink as long as it is in an "employee" cup (plain white Styrofoam) and has a lid. The cup is not allowed on the counter so you must store it on the lower shelf behind the work area. You may not eat during your shift regardless of location. After the concession stand has closed, workers are allowed to eat left-over hot dogs, pizza, popcorn, and pretzels (i.e., items that are to be thrown away). All other food items must be purchased at the cash register and you must keep your receipt.
